BEARD EQUIPMENT COMPANY'S “RENT PINK” PROJECT REACHES $60,000 GOAL

MOBILE, Ala. – Beard Equipment Company, a John Deere equipment distributing company based in Mobile, announced today that their RENT PINK project has reached the $60,000 total goal in the yearlong support effort.


The RENT PINK project, which started on October 1, 2012, rented a special pink tractor to 22 total customers and local businesses to raise donations, awareness and support for fighting cancer. All rental revenue will go to USA Children’s & Women’s Hospital and the USA Mitchell Cancer Institute. Beard Equipment Company is dedicated to making a contribution to the cancer research community.


Beard family and some employees who were instrumental in the rental process presented the check for $60,000 to USA Children’s & Women’s Hospital and Mitchell Cancer Center in Mobile on Tuesday, November 12.


Beard Equipment announces that they will extend the RENT PINK program for another year and split all rental revenue for the pink excavator between USA Children’s & Women’s HospitalSacred Heart Hospital and Wolfson Children’s Hospital; three incredible facilities that represent a portion of the Beard Equipment territory in Mobile, Ala., Pensacola, Fla., and Jacksonville, Fla.


Kristen DeLaney of Beard Equipment is excited about the possibilities of another year of the RENT PINK project.


“As we begin another year of RENT PINK, we are thrilled to partner with three incredible institutions that offer cancer research and treatment to both women and children across our entire territory,” DeLaney said. “Year one of our RENT PINK program was so well received by our customers and employees, we look forward to doing it again.”
